Hidden Gem: Hillcrest Heights Park

The Greater Toronto Area is filled with beautiful gardens and parks that don't always get the publicity that they deserve. Since I love discovering new parks and gardens in the spring and summer, I took it upon myself to report my findings once in a while in this blog.

So let's start with a hidden gem that not many know, but they should: Hillcrest Heights Park in Richmond Hill.

This park is surrounded by neighborhoods in a way that make it seem as if it's trying to hide from the public eye.

Nothing in the surrounding area will give you a clue about the peace and quiet that await those who walk on the park's trails.

You'll see a stream running through the park, trees that block the sights and sounds of the outer world, and green - everywhere you look.

Birds were kind enough to share the park with us and their chatter helped in separating the park from the city around it.

Anyone living in Richmond Hill or Vaughan will be pleasantly surprised to see how close and yet special this park is.
